In 1993, five friends formed a production company with a dodgy camcorder and a dream - to produce comedy that would be seen around the world.
Over 3 decades later they’re still friends, and Working Dog are still producing TV shows, feature films, podcasts and books.
Working Dog is one of Australia’s most dynamic, successful, and enduring creative partnerships. Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, Jane Kennedy, and Santo Cilauro collaborate as producers, writers, and directors with executive producer Michael Hirsh and Chief Executive Officer Deb Herman, to create original material across a range of media.
Its body of work includes TV shows, Utopia, Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Cheap Seats, The Hollowmen, Thank God You’re Here, All Aussie Adventures, The Panel, Frontline, The Campaign and Funky Squad.
The team has produced three feature films, The Castle, The Dish and Any Questions for Ben? For the stage it created The Speechmaker, and most recently the musical Bloom in 2023. Readers around the world lapped up the Jetlag Travel Series, featuring the titles, Molvania, Phaic Tan and San Sombrero.
